Bramley Youth Club News

Well well well, it’s been another epic month for the Bramley Youth Club (BYC). Not only has the club seen and arrival of a new youth worker, partied at the St Georges day festival held at Clift Meadow but we have also switched nights from a Monday to a Thursday.WP_20160423_002

For those of you who are still not sure what we do at BYC, we run an extremely lively and thriving Youth Club every Thursday between 6pm to 8pm at the Brocas Hall in Clift Meadow, Bramley. During the evening we have a variety of activities including table tennis, arts and crafts, snooker, table football, the Wii and many many more. Also let’s not forget our wonderfully varied tuck for a spot of refreshments during the evening. However it doesn’t end there!

This month BYC has seen the famously popular Sumo Suites which many of you might have seen wrestling down at the St Georges day festival. We have also had a massive game of capture the flag out and about on the field plus indoor cake decorating for a nice and easy chill night at BYC. All of the sessions are themed and we are beginning to develop a cheeky amount of in-house competition which with healthy encouragement will only develop over the next few weeks.

Sams-bird-feeder-2During the month of June we are embracing our green fingers and beginning our very own garden project where the young people who attend the youth club will be learning how to recycle old used plastic bottles and turn them into bird feeders. We will also be checking out how to build a hedgehog hut for your back garden so these beautiful creatures can discover a place to hibernate during the winter. The Garden Project is coupled with the adventures of tie-dying and heading outside for Basket Ball and Football tournaments, that all sounds alright by us 🙂

So what does the future bring? Well we are so glad you asked because this July we will be witnessing the first ever ‘Lazar Quest’. That’s right you heard correct, BVA are bringing Lazar Quest to BYC. Here is the activities list for all other activities we will be running during the month of July;

7th July – Lazar Quest

14th July – Graffiti Work Shop

21st July – Outdoor Games

28th July – Fluid Motion (TBC)

If this sounds like something you would be interested in then pop down to BYC on a Thursday and meet the gang. Your first session is completely FREE and you will get to enjoy all the activities and more. For more information regarding BYC, the activities and any news then head over to our Facebook page for more details. We are also always looking for volunteers, so if you are aged 16 and above and want to get involved please do not hesitate to head over to our BVAYouth website where you can find the process of how to become a volunteer for this awesome Youth Club.

We looking forward to seeing you all there 😀
